Competitive federal funds available to Florida’s 35 coastal counties and their municipalities that are required to include a coastal element in comprehensive plans. Florida's public colleges and universities, regional planning councils, national estuary programs and nonprofit groups may also apply for funds if an eligible local government agrees to participate as a partner.
The Coastal Partnership Initiative provides competitive federal funds to support projects in Florida’s 35 coastal counties and their municipalities that include a coastal element in their comprehensive plans. Eligible applicants also include public colleges, universities, regional planning councils, national estuary programs, and nonprofit organizations, provided they partner with an eligible local government.
