The HOME program provides formula grants to states and localities to fund a wide range of activities that build, buy, and/or rehabilitate affordable housing or provide direct rental assistance to low-income people. It encourages partnerships with local nonprofit groups.
The HOME Investment Partnerships Program provides grants to states and local governments to support the construction, purchase, or rehabilitation of affordable housing, as well as direct rental assistance for low-income individuals. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to partner with these entities in the application process.
